Save cost please

You see, my boss's boss doesn't allow my boss to come here visit me. Reason?

1. Save cost
2. Is it really that important that he must come?

The last time my boss came to Kuching was end of last year. Now is already end March and boss hasn't make any trip here. What's wrong for asking him to come over?

It seems like my dissatisfaction towards my company is increasing.

They say:
You can't entertain your customer if the customer doesn't give you any sales. Building rapport with your customer is not a good reason to entertain them.

What the F!

Personally, I do not like to go entertain customers. I hate to entertain people. But common sense will tell you that the people who come out with this stupid rule are stupid.

狗眼看人低!

今天,我又跟财政部门咬了一翻。

Dear S,

Noted from the latest month's petty cash reimbursement, there is again petty cash reimbursement which exceeds the RM200 limit. I do not know how many times I have to repeat this. I can't afford to have your non adherence to the SDI Standing Instruction resulting this to be a GCAD issue.

For courier services, please emulate KK branch, they have an account with City-link and the charges are paid via cheque. If you want to pay by cash, ensure the RM200 limit is adhered.

Thanks,
xxx

------------------------

Dear xxx

May I know which transaction?

------------------------

City-link petty cash dated 25/2/10 for PC-10-009 and PC-10-0010 for total RM227.43.

------------------------

Dear xxx

PC-10-009
RM 45.99
Citylink Light Parcel

PC-10-0010
RM 181.44
Citylink Heavy Parcel

We will get HQ to pay for the bill via cheque if the amount exceeded RM200.

For your info, we have two accounts with Citylink. One is heavy parcel, another one is light parcel. They sent two bills based on account.

------------------------

S,

If you still do not understand the procedure for the petty cash use and do not want to adhere, I will have to propose for Kuching to not to hold petty cash.

他妈的! 难道我的解释不够清楚吗?想威胁我。。?? 那就放马过来吧!我的工作有不是还bill.白痴!

------------------------

Dear xxx

I understand the procedure.

Heavy parcel and light parcel have different price rate and with different account number. That is the reason why we receive two bills. The receipt is based on the bill. Two bills, two receipts.

Please advice us whether we should send all documents or parcels using one account to avoid confusion.

####################

DIY Wrist Corsage

First of all, I got my wedding teddy!!! They are so cute. And the quality is so good and they looks like new!! I think this pair of teddy must be sold at RM60-80 when she first bought it.

Who cares whether these teddy are 2nd hand or not. Your wedding gown is not 1st hand, your car deco done by the bridal shop is neither 1st hand. So who cares?

After my wedding, I can even resell the teddy at the same price.

I use it for free eh...

*Me so smart*

Next, I'm going to show you my DIY wrist corsage.

Bought these cute lil' flowers at Hua Company. 3 for RM1.50.

Bought the ribbon rubber band at 688. 1 meter only RM1.00. Can cut into 7 pieces.
Paise, the flower is a bit too small for the band. All because I bought the flower first. Then only I buy the band (without bring my flower). Anyway, it's damn cheap okay!

Done 1 wrist band. See the joint? I really have bad workmanship.
But nevermind, I'm going to cover the joint using the flower

*Me double smart*

TADA!
Done sewing the 7 wrist bands!

Let me present you my DIY wrist corsage!

Nice or not?

Price per piece:
Ribbon rubber band: 14 cents
Flower: 50 cents
Thread & glue: 1 cent
TOTAL: 65 cents

I hate account ladies

After waiting for the petty cash reimbursement from HQ for quite a period of time, I was curious and decided to give them a call.

When I asked the account exec lady in HQ:

"Have you reimburse my petty cash account?"

She sarcastically questioned me back:

"Hey, why are you sending in your bills for reimbursement? Your petty cash float is RM1,500. You only used up RM1,000. You still have another 500 bucks to play with. Why are you asking me to reimburse? I will only reimburse when your float falls to RM200."

A bit pissed off with her 'answers', I told her:

"By the time my float falls to RM200, your documentation and release of cheque will take around 4 to 6 weeks to clear. Within the 4-6 weeks, the RM200 is not enough for me. I've been using my own money to pay for office use when I finished using my float. Can't you guys adjust it to higher a bit like RM500?"

"Cannot cannot", she says. "Management says can only reimburse after your float falls to RM200. If you are not happy, go ask Management."

WOot! What an answer!

So when I was on a business trip to KL last two months, I went up to the Finance Manager and asked her for explanation. She was surprised.

"You can reimburse the petty cash anytime. Even if you have spent RM200 and you want to reimburse also can. I never instruct them to do such thing."

Haha... I came out from her room with smiley face. I never told the silly authorizing lady what I've told her boss.

The next week, I sent all my bills to HQ for reimbursement. That lady didn't say a word an process them for me.

See? I really hate this kind of person. They are just executive, same level with me. But hor, they want to act as if they are management, or manager. They try anything to restrict you from doing your work smoothly. They make enemies with everyone.

Thursday 11 March 2010

Leave?

I'm underpaid okay!

Stupid company pay me so low yet asking me to work so much.

All the execs from HQ only need to focus on one department...

Me? I'm taking charge of all departments!

Yet, my pay is lower them theirs.

My friend who is working with a bank had a pay increase after she was promoted to permanent staff. Her salary increased by 20%. Annual leave increase from 16 to 24 days. EPF company contribution is 16%.

Mine? I achieve my target. Setup the branch. Doing all those jungle trail work and 5% is what I get. Fucker.

Time to go home. No one will appreciate me.

Real vs fake flowers

It has been a while since I hunt for actual day bouquet. I went to Green Gallery @ RH Plaza and drooled there for a long long time looking at the flowers. Fake flowers. But... they are so nice~!

Frankly speaking, I don't really fancy fresh flowers. Buying fresh bouquet will cost around RM120.00 each. I always thought of buying a few stems of fake flowers, trim the stems, use some lace fabric (my own style) to wrap them up, tie a cute ribbon and that's my actual day bouquet! I even travel to KL Lovely Lace. And I saw what I want there.

To me, fresh bouquet is too expensive. I love flowers. I love decorations. The reason I opt for fake flowers is because:

1. I think handmade stuffs are more sincere. Imagine yourself wearing a beautiful gown, holding a pretty bouquet. The bouquet looks so different from the others because you customize your own bouquet to suit your liking.
2. I can use it for decoration at home/ office after my wedding.
3. Cheap! It will not take up to RM70 to make one bouquet.

But again, Boyfy is not really into this idea. And the ding dong stories go again... Perhaps I will still make the bouquet, but for my own satisfaction. Or I will carry two bouquets on my AD~

I want to share an article I found from the internet regarding real & fake flowers for wedding.

*credit to Cherish www.cherishmywedding.com for the great info*

Flowers are always a must in a wedding. It doesn’t matter it is formal or informal wedding, you will definitely see flowers everywhere, on the car, at the alter, the bouquet, the hair accessories and so on. I don’t think there’s any wedding without flowers.

Brides always have difficulty to decide whether to use real or fake flowers. Those who prefer real flowers would usually tell you that there should not be fake things in a wedding, therefore the flowers must be real. Those who prefer fake ones usually will tell you that they want to cut cost and they don’t emphasize on it since it won’t last and it’s not a very wise investment. Whatever reason given, it’s up to the couple to decide.

If you haven’t decide and you don’t mind having real or fake flowers, then you can consider the pros and cons of them. Usually we see plastic flowers here but did you know that there’s actually silk flower that looked like real. Anyway, we are not going to discuss about silk flower for now. We will just cover this topic based on the general fake and real flowers.

Why real flowers?
Pros:

  • Naturally scented
  • Pretty
  • Exquisite details
  • Soft and delicate to the touch
  • More traditional
  • Photograph extremely well (especially in close-ups)
  • More luxurious
  • Can be preserved (freeze dried)
  • The sentimental value

Cons:

  • Required maintenance
  • Higher cost
  • Cause allegies
  • Not suitable for very hot weather or strong wind
  • Cannot have it in advance
  • Can only go for what you can get in the season
  • Not easy to transport

Why fake/artificial flowers?
Pros:

  • No maintenance
  • Long lasting
  • Cheaper
  • Can be reused for home or office decor
  • Great for those with allergies
  • Can obtain easily
  • More choices, no worries about the season
  • Can be prepared in advance
  • Might look real depending on the quality and the price that you are willing to pay
  • Easy transportation

Cons:

  • Might look cheap (again it depends on the quality of it)
  • Difficult to recreate the delicate floral fragrance of a real flower

Another way is that you can have both real or fake flowers for your wedding. You don’t have to have real flowers everywhere and you don’t have to have fake flowers everywhere. For example, at location that exposed directly to sun, wind, and rain, you might want to go for fake ones and you can have real ones for your bouquet, hair accessories and the guest tables.

Proper planning and compromising is needed to ensure you don’t spend all your money just on flowers as I don’t think this is a very wise move to spend so much on flowers, it can cost a lot especially when you want to have everything “real”.

Bear bear, are you there yet?

These two bears nice or not?
I bought it from a LYN member.
Second hand for RM20 + RM7 (pos laju)

I know it doesn't look good for buying second hand goods for wedding. But for this price, it really worth buying. I can resell it after using. I might not make a lose for reselling lo...

Jom... let's get sick together!

Isn't it funny when someone is sick and you give them a big icing cake written on top "Get well soon"?

The combination of icing colour already can make that person fall even sicker...

Treasure

Some can be bias...

Some look down on you (although you're not)...

Some just know how to act like Mr Right...

And assume everything you done were all wrong!

Some ignore you...

Some kick you like a trash bin not knowing that that trash bin can be so valuable when you need it...

Sometimes, we just have to ignore all these stupid people. Because they are stupid. Extremely stupid. Just do what I want, and be happy and proud about it. Most importantly, treasure people who treasures you. I've found someone who treasures me. Have you?
